Rumour has it that Salman Khan is dying to wed Katrina Kaif but she’s not interested in walking down the aisle yet. It’s been more than five years since Salman began dating Katrina. Over the years, the couple’s relationship has survived many ups and downs and, not to forget, the repeated barrage of rumours of their split. But the duo has yet to solemnize their relationship into a marriage.
Reports say Salman, who is 42, recently popped the question to Katrina, 24, but she declined it politely, saying she has a flourishing career to look after. It’s a known fact that a married actress is often viewed in Bollywood as someone past her prime. Only, Aishwarya Rai has been an exception to this rule so far. And Katrina, who’s riding the crest of popularity wave, doesn’t apparently want to commit any professional hara-kiri by committing to marriage at this point in time.
A declined marriage proposal of course wouldn’t go down well with the moody Salman, who, grapevine says, has begun to shut Katrina out of his life. The star has reportedly begun taking all the things that remind him of Katrina out from his apartment.
In fact, there are already reports that the couple has split.
But we would not like to jump the gun and pen the obituary of a relationship that has been beautiful and surprisingly steady so far.
