Model turned actress Anushka Sharma comes from an army background. Her father is a highly ranked Army Officer and her mother is a housewife. Having graduated from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, Sharma who always knew her calling laid in modeling began to pursue the charms of the glamour world. She enrolled in the Elite Modeling Agency where she was groomed by renowned style consultant Prasad Bidapa, whom she met when she was just 15 years of age.

Sharma was then spotted by designer Wendell Rodricks and the next thing she knew was that she was his show-stopper at Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. What happens when someone takes Star Wars

Eragon (Ed Speleers, who looks like he stepped right out of an Abercrombie & Fitch ad) is a poor farmer boy (and a scrappy blond kid?) living with his uncle, whiling away his days farming and dreaming about a bigger and better future. Does that already sound familiar? It should. The kingdom in which Eragon lives is ruled with an iron fist by Galbatorix (John Malcovich), aided by his Evil Wizard Durza (Robert Carlyle, who you may remember as Begbie). The Varden are a group of freedom fighters trying to bring Galbatorix down. One of their number, a particularly stunning freedom fighter called Arya (Sienna Guillory) sneaks into the king’s castle and steals his favorite stone. Yes, the king, who is John Malkovich, has a favorite stone.”I suffer without my stone,” he says to Durza in a particularly John Malkovichy manner. “Do not prolong my suffering.” The king’s favorite stone, just so you know, is remarkably egg-shaped.

Durza sets off after Arya. Right before he captures her, she manages to magic the stone away. It appears right in front of Eragon, who takes it back to his village, where he tries to sell it for some meat. The butcher recognizes it as the king’s favorite egg-shaped stone, and refuses to serve Eragon. While enjoying a cool beverage out in the town square, Eragon encounters Brom (Jeremy irons), the village’s extremely wise fool. He will probably be important later, because he is Jeremy Irons. Meanwhile, Durza takes Arya back to the castle and tortures her, which involves her lying flat on a table in a leather tube top. She refuses to reveal the stone’s location, knowing it is the secret to the king’s power.

Eragon takes his egg stone home and goes to sleep. When he wakes up, it hatches into what is admittedly the cutest baby dragon I have ever seen:The dragon quickly grows up under Eragon’s watchful eye. I mean seriously quickly. There is an endearing scene where Eragon teaches the baby dragon to fly. It flies away, and about ten minutes later it comes back fully grown. The dragon tells Eragon her name is Sephira (a dragon and his or her rider can communicate telepathically. When dragons think, they sound like Rachel Weisz), and that together they can save the kingdom.

At this point Jeremy Irons turns up again, revealing that he was a former dragon rider whose dragon died. He exhorts Eragon to accept his fate, and puts him through many a training montage to learn how to ride his dragon and do some minor magic. “Magic comes from dragons,” he says. And that is his entire explanation.

Defeating Galbatorix will not be easy, though. Galbatorix has two different warrior races commanded by Durza: the Razac and the Urgals, who are very similar to the Orcs and the Uruk-hai respectively. They are both on the hunt for Eragon and his dragon. They kill his uncle and sack his house, just like another young blond antagonist in another story. Eragon is now determined to embrace his fate so that he can avenge his uncle’s death and free the kingdom.

Then it’s big final battle time. Brom sacrifices himself heroically so that Eragon may live to face his destiny, and there is a totally wicked dragon-wizard fight that involves a huge black smoke-dragon made of magic! Eragon takes out Durza when the come face to face, and saves Arya from further vague tortures. He teams up with the Varden so that he may one day take out Galbatorix once and for all.

Then Eragon rides away triumphantly while the screen fades to black into an Avril Lavigne song. Eragon is more medievalist than medieval per se, but it borrows a lot of themes and characters from medieval stories. Or, rather, the stories it plagiarized did. So it’s kinda medievalist by association. It’s very silly, but embarrassingly entertaining. It helps if you watch it with a six year old, which I did.

The small ceremony lasted approximately 45 minutes, as Wahlberg held hands with daughter Ella prior to tying the knot. He and Durham are the parents of three children: Ella, 5, Michael, 3, and Brendan, 10 months.

In Telugu film, Deepika to do item number

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is set to shoot an item number for a Telugu film titled "Love 4 Ever".

"Deepika has agreed to shoot an item number for the forthcoming venture 'Love 4 Ever' from June 24 onwards - her first in Telugu," a publicist said.

Starring Ranadeep and Mridula, "Love 4 Ever" is being made in Hindi and Telugu and Jayant C. Paranji is wielding the megaphone for it. Laughing Waters Entertainment is producing the film.

"The successful track record of Paranji for having enlisted the services of another Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai came in good stead in this film," added the source.

Deepika started her career with Kannada film "Aishwarya" and debuted in Hindi films with 2007 hit "Om Shanti Om".

Love Aaj Kal is a movie that is full of immense expectations. So it is very crucial for the movie to exceed those expectations. So let us see if it is there. 
 
Love Aaj Kal is not an easy film to write and execute. Sure, it's a love story, but it's not one of those everyday love stories that talks of love and heartache. The movie is made up of the two stories, set in different eras, run parallel, but have a similar end. 
 
For those who are not aware, let me tell you first that you will be seeing both Siaf and Deepika in double roles. Let me add that Saif is also playing the part of young Rishi Kapoor so that you will not have any confusion byend, when the transition occurs. 
 
Love Aaj Kal is a director's show entirely. The relationships here are complex because the couple in love lives in complete denial. It is to Imtiaz Ali's credit that he has penned an offbeat story, developed a complex but comprehensive screenplay and extracted sensitive performances from the principal cast. At the same time, the script has not been written in such a way so as to appeal to all sections of movie-going audience. Besides, the execution of the subject and also the pacing in the first hour are retraining.

Preity Zinta’s Daddy Is Dharmendra in Jahnu Barua’s Har Pal

Dharmendra will be doing the role of Preity Zinta’s dad in Jahnu Barua’s Har Pal. This role was supposed to be done by Amitabh Bachchan, which he had declined due to some unknown reasons.
 
The other person in Har Pal is Shiney Ahuja. The movie is about a love story between two neighbours shot in Northern India. Jahnu Barua who directed the critically acclaimed Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara was keen on having Amitabh Bachchan play Preity’s dad in the film.
 
Big B was obviously looking at bigger horizons considering the type of films he’s got lined up, Aladin, Teen Patti etc and declined the role. That’s when Preity who had always wanted to work with Dharmendra suggested the veteran actor’s name to the director.
 
Dharam Paaji was more than ecstatic but it was for a short time as the film has been facing several release problems. According to sources, “Jahnu is having trouble finding producers for the film. Not many were interested in investing money in the film and now with Shiney in jail, the future of Har Pal looks even bleaker.”

Rahul (Milind Soman) is another reporter who is following this case closely but is unaware of Sheetal’s feelings for him.
 
Getting a tip off from Sheetal, a man suspected to be the murderer, is shot dead. Even as they celebrate the news, Arjun Sherawat re-surfaces and tells the world that his next target is a builder Habeeb Fazal.
 
As the narrative unravels it raises many questions. How is Sheetal getting the information on the victims? Is Arjun Sherwat committing these murders or does he have any accomplices? What is the reason behind these senseless murders? Is Rahul the bad guy? Will Sanjana outwit the murderer and bring an end to the bloodshed?

Pop singer Leona Lewis wants to live a normal life in London with her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa and is considering abandoning her celebrity lifestyle.

Shiklpa Shetty, is again in a controversy

Bollywood actress, Shiklpa Shetty, is again in a controversy. The authorities of the Sakhigopal temple in Orissa on Friday have lodged a police complaint against Shilpa Shetty accusing that she entered the temple with armed guards and lens-men with their shoes on. 
 
For the action of the actress, the priests had to bury the `prasad’ as per rituals of the temple.
 
"Security personnel and photographers accompanying the actress entered into the temple with shoes and camera," Mahendra Das, executive officer of the temple, said.
 
Entering the temple with shoes and camera is prohibited, Das said accusing the actress did not pay any heed to the priests who asked her not to commit the `mistake`.

When you are doing age make-up, you can’t correct it so it had to be removed fully and done again.” The movie is a love story, which also stars Akshay Kumar, and which travels backwards in time.

Aish and Abhi’s diaries are starting to look a bit cluttered at the moment. Firstly, they had to push back a shooting schedule for Raavan because director Mani Ratnam had a bit of a health scare and now they’ve had to do the same for Crooked because director Abhinay Deo’s wife is ill and he naturally wants to be with her. Producer Ritesh Sadhwani explains,”There was no question of replacing Abhinay. Crooked is his baby all the way. And we wanted to make it only with him. Fortunately, Abhinay’s wife is now on the way to recovery. Fortunately, Abhishek and Aishwarya have been able to readjust their dates. We now shoot in Greece, Istanbul and Thailand at the years end.” It’s also been decided that the film will have a name change before it’s released.

In Raavan, a modern re-telling of the Ramayana, Aish is said to give a spectacular performance in an item number filmed twice, firstly in Hindi with husband Abhishek and secondly in Tamil with Vikram for the Kollywood version. The dance is a fusion of classical Tandav, Ballet and Contemporary styles.

Ash did her elderly age make up with Paul, a Hollywood make-up artist. When they did it the first time, it did'n work out well. When you are doing age make-up, you can correct it so it had to be removed fully & done again, said Shah in a statement.

It took us six hours to get her look right. they started shooting at five in the morning & the shooting went on till 7 a.m. they said.

There is a scene in the film when Priyanka and Shahid’s character end up making love. Vishal apprarently found it strange that the two stars are shown getting so intimate without even sharing a kiss.

Reports say when he expressed his opinion to Priyanka she wasn’t very interested in locking lips with Shahid before the camera. So the scene was shot without the kiss.

But later, when Vishal saw the scene, he knew what was evidently missing – a kiss. To drive home his point, he made Priyanka and Shahid see the scene. Eventually, Priyanka too realized that a kiss was actually a demand of the scene.

So the lovemaking scene was reshot in Mumbai and this time Shahid, Priyanka kissed. The scene, was canned in five takes as Vishal wanted to capture it from different angles.

‘Kaminey’ is set for mid-August release.

Ken Ghosh directed Shahid Kapur starrer is more in limelight because of the changes it's been undergoing through.
 
Named as Star in the beginning, it was changed to Yahoo. Then its female lead Jiah Ali Khan replaced with Genelia Souza. The latest two times is that Ken Ghosh feels that the title of the film has to be Chance Pe Dance instead of the present Yahoo.
 
Sources from the production house inform, Yes there has indeed been a modify in the working title from Star to Yahoo, but now director Ken Ghosh is keen on having the new title as Chance Pe Dance, though the producers UTV Motion pics are not keen on it. But Ken is adamant on keeping Chance Pe Dance as the final title of the film.

Katrina Kaif Refuse To Work With Ranbir Kapoor

Whether its hook-ups, break-ups, close bonding or tussles, everything in Bollywood makes news. And it seems that the latest target for gossip mongers are co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. 

Rumour has it that the two are at loggerheads with each other and have refused to work together. According to sources, the two are avoiding each other completely and have also dubbed separately for their forthcoming film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The problems between them have grown so much that they aren’t co-operating to dub together even for some emotional scenes that require the right chemistry between both actors.

It all began a few months back when the rumours of the two sharing something more than friendship became rife. It was even reported that girlfriend Deepika Padukone had started having problems with Ranbir’s co-star Katrina due to their growing bond. Apparently, Deepika kept a constant vigil around the sets of Rajkumar Santoshi’s film in order to ensure that her beau wasn’t changing tracks.

What made matters worse was that Deepika ordered Ranbir to completely cut-off all ties with Katz and the devoted beau scrupulously followed Padukone’s instructions to mend his affair. However, this didn’t go down well with Katz and she started giving a cold-shoulder to Ranbir.

Even though Katrina chose to remain tight-lipped about the rumours, director Santoshi confirmed the news that both his stars aren’t working together.

Bollywood Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwary Rai Bachchan failed to return to their hotel just after shooting for their new film ‘Ravan’ on Wednesday evening after an elephant went out of control and killed its mahout.
The incident, which occurred after the shooting around 5 p.m. in Athirapally waterfalls area, blocked the road at nearby Athirapally forest area of Kerala’s Thrissur district.
Kunju, the elephant, stood in the middle of the road, thus, obstructing the traffic to move through the road. As per the latest information ‘Kunju’ had been controlled by chaining it veterinary doctors were on their way from Thrissur to attend the disgruntled elephant, possibly to tranquillise it. . The killed mahout was Andavan, aged 51.
“Ravan”is being shot in Hindi and Tamil at the thick forests near the waterfalls. Abhishek plays the lead role in the Hindi version while Tamil actor Vikram plays the lead role in regional version, with Aishwarya being the heroine in both versions of the film.
Kerala’s Athirapally waterfalls has been one of the favourite locations for major blockbuster films in south India. Noted film director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Dil Se’ song ‘Jiya Jale’, and the film Guru song ‘Barso re’ were shot at the Athirapally waterfalls.

They just hid from the elephant. Finally, they were rescued late at night. But until then, there was no news of their safety. Abhishek and Aishwarya’s parents were delirious with worry.”
When contacted, a shaken Aishwarya Rai simply said, “All is well, by God’s grace.”
